Went out for a 5 mile tramp around Harvey's Lake today. Trying to break in my new Merrells and adjust to pack living. Around mile 2 I was reminded of the lovely battle between flesh and a backpack/sports bra combo. After much adjusting and playing around with weight distribution I was able to almost line things up across the front of my body so that my pack straps didn't fall directing on top of the bra and thus ceased to torment my skin. Alas, I know this will be an on-going battle that will ultimately result in a calloused collar bone. No time for vanity on the trail! All I can say is; men- be thankful this is something you never have to worry about.
